The "Fluorosome® Solution," FS-1
The FS-1 is an instrument and software package for measuring permeabilities and active transport of drugs with Fluorosomes.
The FS-1 contains:

GLSynthesis Inc., Worcester, MA, and Photon Technology International Inc., Birmingham, NJ, have partnered to provide the FS-1, a package designed for drug permeability assays. The FS-1 utilizes a solid state LED for excitation and a single photon PMT for detection, and special bandpass filters. With no lamp or grating, the FS requires virtually no maintenance. The FS-1 contains features essential for Fluorosome® and related kinetic assays – a port for introduction of drug solutions to the cuvette containing Fluorosome-trans, a magnetic stirrer for rapid mixing of drug and Fluorosomes, an optical trigger for kinetic reference, and a thermostatted sample chamber for temperature control.
